It’s the Friday before the Canada Day long weekend and I thought that I’d make a fun/light-hearted post today!

Here are a few things that I’m really LOVING right now!

Metric’s New Album “Synthetica”

I have been a big fan of Metric since their early days.  I recall seeing them for the first time at The Brass Taps – the tiny on-campus bar and my school probably in 2002/2003? It was when the band was first breaking onto the scene and weren’t really known yet.  I loved them from that very first show and have seen them many more times since!  Of course, their new album did not disappoint. Great summertime music!

Of Monsters And Men’s album “My Head Is An Animal”

This is a new-to-me band. I heard their single “Little Talks” on the radio and loved it. I found that they sound a lot like Stars (another one of my favourite bands). Got their album and it’s FANTASTIC!!!  If you’re a fan of that light-hearted indie sound, I highly recommend!

Grey’s Anatomy

I know, you might be thinking something along the lines of.. “WTH? has she been living under a rock for the past 8 years!?!” .. The answer is no. Not Really.  You see, when Grey’s anatomy first premiered, I was still in university.  I most definitely got hooked after I saw the premiere on its original air date.  I then continued to watch the show for 3-4 seasons. Not long into season 4, life happened and for some reason, I just stopped watching.  I have been wanting to get back into the show for some time now and a few weeks ago, decided to begin taking it in right from the start again.  I’m now 8 episodes into season 2 and am loving every moment!! It’s been so long since I watched them originally that I don’t even remember half the stuff that happened, so it’s almost like watching a new show!

50 Shades Of Grey

Yes, I admit it. I’ve succumbed to my own curiosity. I purchased all 3 books from Amazon a week ago because they were only about $8 a piece.  I have been completely out of control staying up late every night this week reading this darn thing and can’t put it down.  I’m almost done book 1 and am glad I still have 2 more to go!
